Potassium & Magnesium

Slow-release K/Mg additive

This product supplies the potassium, magnesium, and sulfur animals need for growth. Naturally sourced and processed through a proprietary method, it dissolves and releases slowly with high bioavailability. As electrolytes, potassium and magnesium compounds improve dietary electrolyte balance and help maintain the body's acid–base environment.

Product features

  • Naturally sourced and deeply processed by a proprietary method — slow-dissolving, slow-releasing, with high bioavailability.
  • Regulates the activity of various enzymes and helps maintain the body's acid–base environment.
  • Eases various stress responses, regulates endocrine function, and maintains internal homeostasis.

The role of each element

Potassium (K)

Potassium is one of the most abundant minerals in the animal body, largely found in intracellular fluid, where it forms part of the buffer system and maintains cellular acid–base balance, ion balance, water balance, and osmotic pressure — and must be taken in daily. Higher potassium intake helps improve lysine utilization; potassium is also part of the sodium–potassium pump, supporting neuromuscular excitability and coordinated cardiac contraction.

Magnesium (Mg)

Magnesium is an important component of bones and teeth and participates directly in the synthesis of many enzymes, acting as a cofactor and activator — especially for enzymes in energy metabolism. It is also involved in the synthesis and metabolism of protein, DNA and RNA, and fat. Since adult animals mobilize skeletal magnesium poorly, meeting magnesium needs through the diet is especially important.

Sulfur (S)

Sulfur improves the utilization of sulfur-containing amino acids (methionine, cystine), sparing their conversion to inorganic sulfur; sulfur in the sulfate form is an important component of mucopolysaccharides such as chondroitin. Adequate sulfur reduces unnecessary breakdown of cystine and methionine and also supports feather growth in poultry.

Applications by species

  • Sows: comprehensively improves productive performance, relieves constipation and lactation weight loss, reduces endocrine disturbance, eases stress, and raises lactation feed intake and milk yield.
  • Cattle & sheep: high-concentrate, high-energy diets need extra potassium; raising dietary magnesium meets requirements; abundant sulfur for rumen microbes improves the N:S ratio and protein/nitrogen utilization, increasing intake, milk yield, and milk and meat quality.
  • Poultry: by regulating electrolyte balance and supporting nerve conduction, it eases stress and maintains laying rate and broiler growth; in broilers it raises breast-muscle yield and reduces ascites and leg problems; in layers it helps improve eggshell quality and reduce breakage.
